This morning we experienced a system outage due to an issue at our partner’s data centre. We are currently investigating the issue with them and will provide further specific information once we have it.
During the outage our offsite DNS and Mail services ensures that your domain names continue to resolve which allowed our backup MX servers to store inbound mail which now being forwarded to the mailbox servers for collection.
All systems were restored at approximately 09:30.
Thank you for patience with this unplanned incident.
This evening we have implemented a number of upgrades to the Windows hosting MySQL which will offer much improved performance. A combination of hardware upgrades and configuration optimisation have resulted a visible increase in performance.
We are currently performing emergency maintenance and anticipate full service to be resumed by 18:00
We will be completing a series of server upgrades to increase the amount of RAM in key servers. During the day you may experience a short period of circa 15 minutes when you will be unable to access you email or website. No email will be lost as a result of this system maintenance.
During the early hours of this morning we experienced outbound mail connectivity issues. They have now been resolved and all queued mail processed. Mail delivery times are now back to normal levels
We are currently investigating reports of connectivity from certain non-UK locations to our services. The issue is not country specific but does appear to be impacting specific providers in some countries.
At this time we can confirm that the hosted services are working normally but there may be a routing issue at our upstream network provider. We are currently liasing with them in order to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Further updates will be posted as soon as we have more detailed information.
We experienced a brief disruption to mail flow yesterday for customers using our relay and MX services. Although the outage itself was restricted the impact was felt for a number of hours due to DNS caching. As a result of yesterday’s outage we have replaced the faulty component of the system with both new software and hardware solutions which will enable us to provide the fast and reliable mail services you normally experience.
If you use any of our mailMX, mailRelay or mailFeed services and are experiencing mail flow issues today please raise a ticket with the helpdesk and we will review your individual issue.
Windows Mail is currently unavailable due to emergency maintenance, it is anticipated it will be offline for no more than 20 minutes.
ADSL customers are currently experiencing intermittent routing issues which results in some websites being inaccessible. Our upstream provider is investigating.
